Yesterday we left Bar Harbor, Maine. It has to be one of our favorite places in the U.S. We did a little hiking, swimming and, of course, lobster eating while we were there. We stayed in a little cottage overlooking the ocean.
We drove through New Hampshire and Vermont stopping at the Ben & Jerry's factory for some ice cream on the way and marveling at all the covered bridges. Today we went to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown New York. John is member. He donated the "Cochrane Plan" in 1991 and it is in their archives. His official status is "donor" and they gave him a lifetime pass. The head librarian treated us to a behind-the-scenes tour of the library which was very cool. We got to go in vaults that only 12 people have access to. It was very interesting.
Tomorrow we are headed to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater.
